Ingredients
• 1 banana
• 1 1/4 cups sliced fresh strawberries
• 10 whole almonds
• 2 tablespoons water
• 1 cup ice cubes
• 3 tablespoons chocolate flavored protein powder
Place the banana, strawberries, almonds, and water into a blender. Blend to mix, then add the ice cubes and puree until smooth. Add the protein powder, and continue mixing until evenly incorporated, about 30 seconds.
This is a great smoothie - It is based on "The Zone Diet" which gives the right balance of protein, carbohydrates, and fats per meal. The idea of the diet is to control insulin and blood sugar levels to keep you full longer.
