Long John Silvers Fry Batter


1 1/2 cups flour
4 T cornstarch
1/2 t. baking soda
1/2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
1 1/2 cups water


In a mixing bowl, sift the dry ingredients.  Add the water and mix together well.  Completely cover and coat 8 fish or chicken fillets with the batter.  Deep fry until golden brown.
